Recreational Activities:
* Daily activities include large and small groups divided into different levels so members can participate comfortably.
* Intellectual activities such as stimulating crossword puzzles, scrabble, word games, trivia and other thought-provoking programs.
* Daily exercise program, adult crafts, adaptive sports, games, bridge, poker, cooking and baking.
* Professional presentations on art, history, music and travel. Dynamic, fun, varied
entertainers performing weekly.
* On-site and off-site intergenerational programs with local schools and children’s preschool programs.
* An innovative, specialized “Child Reminiscence Therapy”- perhaps the first of its kind in the state.
* Off-site outings to movies, theatres, museums, restaurants, parks and other places of interests including the Jersey shore and the PNC Arts Center.
* Seasonal parties including individual birthdays, holiday and special occasions are always celebrated.
* Involvement with the community through participation in food basket drives, Christmas Senior Outreach Program, and selection of the Victorian Garden Senior Hall of Fame.
* Specialized Patchwork Quilt Program available for Alzheimer’s and other related memory impairments.

Health Supervision:
* Assistance with toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing, and incontinence management.
* Administration and supervision of medications.
* Daily health monitoring and individual care plans.
* On-site podiatry services.
Nutrition:
* Nutritious, home-cooked meals prepared daily by our dietary supervisor.
* Light breakfast, freshly prepared hot lunch meal, and wholesome afternoon snack.
* Special dietary needs supervised by a registered dietitian.
* Dietary workshops arranged to assure a healthy and balanced home diet.
Caregiver Support:
* Monthly support groups for caregivers at the Chatham Methodist Church the third Thursday of each month.
* Quarterly educational seminars offered for caregivers.
* Flexible, extended hours available.
* Supportive counseling available at all times by a licensed social worker.
* Monthly AM coffee hour for caregivers.
* Caregivers resource library for caregivers and members.
* “Caregiver’s Day Off” offered semi-annually and monthly Saturday programs.
* Respite attendance at center for non-member families during vacation and holiday season.
* Residential respite service program available through family affiliate, Garden Terrace Nursing Home.
* Respite approved under the New Jersey Statewide Respite Program.
* CCPED Funding Approval (Medicaid).
* Affordable alternative to home care or nursing home placement.
Caring Staff:
* Professional staff includes the Executive Director, Phyllis Flemming; Director, Peg Tedesco, RN; Assistant Director: Ruth Mirrer, ADC; Social Worker, Laura Collins, LSW; Recreation Therapists, Music Therapist, Art Therapist and Registered Dietician.
* Carefully selected and trained staff to meet the needs of each individual client and their families.
* On-going staff education in dementia training through the New Jersey Adult Day Services Association, New Jersey Alzheimer’s Association and other professional organizations.
Additional Services:
* Whirlpool baths and showers given upon request.
